Make the connection

Connect your iPad iPhone or iPod to the AlgoRhythm Solo via the supplied Cypher Labs USB sync cable, turn on both devices and play your favorite music.

Output via the AlgoRhythm Solo’s 1/8 mini-jack to any home or portable amplifier which has an analog input, such as the ALO Rx Mk2 headphone amplifier.

To use the AlgoRhythm Solo with any home DAC, simply connect your favorite DAC to the AlgoRhythm Solo’s SPDIF connector.

Streaming audio quality is greatly improved when using the AlgoRhythm Solo. Stream your favorite music via the Internet using popular apps such as Pandora or Soma FM, Last FM, Tuner Internet Radio and many more all enhanced by the AlgoRhythm Solo.

Use your computer as a streaming music server via WIFI using the AlgoRhythm Solo and a WIFI hotspot. Set up your WIFI connection between your home computer and your iPad or iPhone to stream music from your computer music collection while the AlgoRhythm Solo is connected. Viola! High quality streaming over WIFI from your laptop or desktop.

AlgoRhythm Solo DAC – Audiophile Heaven

Wolfson Microelectronics makes many DACs, including those incorporated into many earlier Apple devices, so what’s new? The AlgoRhythm Solo uses a premium Wolfson Microelectronics Reference grade DAC, far and away a superior digital engine. Check out the specs and then listen to the beauty.

While the DAC chip inside the Solo is capable of processing 24/96 bit-rate, the Apple device DAP platform as a whole is currently limited to 16/44.1 or 16/48KHz sampled content. That is still CD quality and that is what the AlgoRhythm Solo delivers, finally!

The asynchronous transfer mode allows the AlgoRhythm Solo to overcome the limitations and artifacts associated with sync transfer mode through USB, such as lots of jitter.
