Studio Six Headphone Amplifier Safety Notice

ATTENTION:  IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING CONCERNING THE STUDIO SIX HEADPHONE AMPLIFIER - RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK

DO NOT USE ANY AFTERMARKET TUBE WITH AN UNPAINTED METAL BASE

If you own Audiolineout’s Studio Six Headphone Amplifier, there is a serious risk of electric shock if you replace the original 6x6 vacuum tubes with aftermarket tubes with an unpainted metal base.  If the amplifier is powered on and you touch the unpainted metal base of an aftermarket vacuum tube, you may receive a modest to severe electric shock. There is no risk of shock when using the amplifier with its original equipment vacuum tubes which have plastic/bakelite bases.  If you are using the amplifier with aftermarket tubes with an unpainted metal base, please stop using the amplifier immediately and unplug your amplifier. The amplifier is designed for use solely with tubes with plastic/bakelite bases.

Audiolineout has designed a permanent modification to the amplifier if you want to use it with tubes with an unpainted metal base.  Please contact Audiolineout at (971) 279-4357 or by email at support@aloaudio.com, to request a prepaid return label to ship the product back to us for modification.  We will modify the Printed Circuit Board to eliminate voltage from ever making contact with the base of the vacuum tube. Once the modification is completed, we will return the amplifier to you.
